Country Informants for Science & Technology Diplomacy Report Call


The Asia-Europe Science & Technology Initiative is a new project of ASEF’s Education Department which conducts research and connects academics, diplomats, professionals and students engaged in international collaborations related to science, technology, and innovation in Asia and Europe.

The project offers a unique opportunity for Asia-Europe cooperation on emerging trends and strategies in the field of Science Technology Diplomacy. The project aims to:

  • Facilitate Intellectual Exchange
  • Strengthen Networks
  • Contribute

ASEF is seeking individuals aged 18-35 to become Country Informants. The selected candidates will play a crucial role in mapping science and technology diplomacy strategies across ASEF member countries, the EU, and ASEAN. Their contributions will help identify areas for enhanced collaboration and provide valuable insights to relevant institutions. The commitment involves 10-12 hours per month from June to October 2024. Below are the key details:

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct desk research using a provided questionnaire
  • Lead 2-3 interviews with key stakeholders
  • Summarize findings in a 2-3 page narrative country report
  • Attend monthly check-in meetings
